Ringing the church bells

Ringing the bells of St James' Church.

The band is using the English Full Circle method of ringing. First the No. 4 bell is 'stood' or 'set'. It is then rung down to its normal, rest position, then rung back up to its quasi-stable play position.

The band then rings 'Plain Hunt', in which the order of ringing is changed to that bells 1 to 5 take it in turns to play in each position. The heaviest bell, no. 6, the Tenor, stays at the end of the sequence.
